One creature. Everybody on the internet shares it. Talk to it, feed it, or teach it something - and if three different people teach it the same thing, it believes it forever. Neglect it and it dies for good, and a new one hatches knowing nothing.
- One creature, one state. Its hunger, attention and health live on the server. Everybody sees the same numbers at the same moment.
- It gets hungry on its own, about a point every four minutes. Anyone can feed it once every ten minutes.
- It needs attention. Messages from different people raise it; silence lowers it. Below ten it starts to get ill.
- Teaching. Tell it something and it is written down as a belief with a score of one. When a different person says the same thing, the score goes up. At three, from three different people, it enters its personality and it will believe it until it dies. Contradict a belief and the score goes back down; at zero it is forgotten.
- One person cannot rewrite it. One visitor counts once per belief, in both directions.
- Its personality is a short summary rewritten once an hour from what it currently believes.
- Death is permanent. At zero health it dies, stays up as a memorial for an hour, and then a new one hatches with no memories at all. Only the graveyard remembers.
- A crowded room. When more than six messages arrive in ten seconds it stops answering people one at a time and says one thing to everybody.
